If you are a pool player then this is one you have to own. Even if you are not a die-hard player, I promise you that once you play this game you will be! While Billiard games have been around for awhile now, this one is one of those games you swear has to be the only one created for playing on a console.

Your game revolves around a full size billiard table and it is as realistic as they come. Your options are numerous and each one helps you be the one in control of the game. You can choose your player and best of all your opponent. I like this option, as I know how well I can play and letting me choose who I want to play against gives me that feeling of “I can win this”, which may not ensure I do but I like that feeling of having a good chance of it. You can also choose your game, which gives you a feel of what to expect and how to go about winning. Although you can let the game choose everything from your opponents to the game you feel most comfortable with, I think that choosing everything yourself gives a real feel of challenge to the game itself. This may not be the way to play for everyone and whatever way you go the gameplay will be just as fun and challenging for either option.

This really is one of those games you find yourself playing over and over again and each time as much fun and challenging as the last time you played. By the end of the day you can say “rack em up” like a pro (and show the pros a few things or two!)

Installation: N/A

Gameplay: 8.5
This game played on any level gives enough challenge to be enjoyed. Choices range from beginners to expert as well as games which can be Multiplayer or single. Even a choice of 8 Ball which I found to be a lot of fun. This game is self-pacing which makes it perfect for just sitting back and having some gaming fun on a rainy day.

Graphics: 9.0
Graphics are well textured and evenly balanced which really lend to the pool table itself. Everything from the cue stick to the balls themselves are well defined. Bright and realistic coloring brings this game together in one of the best graphic games on the market.

Sound: 8.5
You are going to enjoy the music played in the background. It really gives you a feel of being in a Pool Hall in your home or neighborhood. The dialogue from the characters is not only crystal clear but the dialogue itself is something you would normally hear in a Pool Hall. This is something that really lends character to the game as unfortunately some games have so much stilted and unrealistic dialogue between characters that it becomes more detracting from the game instead of adding substance.

Difficulty: 8.5
The difficulty remains on par with the level you are playing. The entire game is user friendly and no mater what level you decide to choose to play you will not be disappointed in the challenge needed to complete the game. Very evenly balanced.

Concept: 8.0
The game of Pool has been around for a lot of years but this game stands out among so many others. The graphics really make it something special and the realism of dialogue and play itself makes this one of the best pool games around.

Multiplayer: 8.0
Choosing the option of Multiplayer over the internet gives this game a whole new challenge. I especially enjoyed this option as it gives the game a real feel of competition, although playing against the game itself also offers many hours of challenging and fun gameplay.

Overall: 8.5
This game has the perfect combination of challenge, skill and fun. This is also a great family game and when played that way gives hours of some good family time together, which is always a big plus in my book. A game you will find yourself playing over and over.
