POD: Speedzone Review
I won’t deny it’s fun for the most
part, but it just doesn’t hold your attention for very long.
It’s basically a 2-player game and I think that was a lot of the problem
I had with the game. Not everyone HAS another person to play this game with.
There is an arcade mode for 1-player games, but it’s just not as fun
as it is with multiplayers. Sure, you can go on the net with it, but again,
not everyone has net access. I didn’t attempt to go on the net
with it, simply because of all the errors listed, sure they have the fixes
for the errors but, if it’s gonna be that much trouble, most people
wouldn’t want to mess with it. Other than that it’s not all bad,
the graphics are great and so is the sound. There are a lot of weapons and
options available for you to choose from and once you’ve selected everything
you can go to the track and race, blow up your opponents etc. So if you are
into multiplayer games and have access to the net, (or have another person
around you can race against) then this would be a good game for you.
Gameplay: 6
Ok, if you have net access or another player
Graphics: 8
Very clear.
Sound: 7
Good sound effects
Difficulty: 6
It varies with the tracks you race
Concept: 6
It’s ok for multiplayer usage
Overall: 6
Just too limiting if you are a single player
Cost VS Actual Worth:
I’d hesitate.
